Beacon Street between Coolidge Corner and Washington Square has been my main commute over the past couple of years. Stoneholm, which is on the elevated carriageway (righthand side of the hill going toward Cleveland Circle), stands out in a big way on this residential stretch of the C-Line as a gigantic French Baroque palace wedged between mid-century apartment blocks .
Here’s my latest attempt at capturing some architectural contrast with Stoneholm and its neighbors.
