House Roundup: Brighton, Brookline & Newton, 3/2021

As a so-called house diary, it’s high time I actually get some traditional house architecture up here. These are some shots that I’ve taken on my various travels-by-foot throughout the pandemic. I spent a lot of time straddling Brighton-Brookline-Newton over the past year and the privilege hasn’t been wasted on me; It’s been a joy to interact with so many great buildings on a near daily basis.

A few of these pics have been given the Instagram treatment (that’s where the House Diary moniker was born), but by and large I took these with an eye toward capturing architectural detail (ie. not optimized for a phone screens). That said, I just use my iPhone camera, which I think does a great job helping me capture what I’m looking for. I may get more technically sophisticated down the line, but for walkabouts, my iPhone does the trick without hindering mobility.
